This "Be Inspired Interview" is a bit different. It's a film portrait of a friend I admire. Enjoy!
When was the last time you did something just for the sheer joy of it? Not because it was for someone else, or because you were trying to sell it, or because you had to do it for your business/school/family.
You just took the time to create something just for you, and in the act of creating you were happy in just that -- in just doing something you like. Plain and simple.
Mary Ann -- and many other retired folks I hang out with -- create for the sheer joy of doing so. (Yes, I hang out with several people who are retired, including Mary Ann.) But keep in mind, that you don't have to be retired to be present, relaxed and find joy in creating for the sake of creating. Mary Ann has been creating woodwork since she was a child.
And that is what I hope you find in this film -- that while you spend energy trying to make the "right" decision, spin your wheels optimizing the "perfect" outcome (I'm partly speaking to myself here) -- that you're already you. You are already right and perfect. Take the time to create and do something just for the joy it brings you. Honor you by doing so.
